This assumes, of course, that the diagnostic logs you sent to Malwarebytes Support show that you don't have Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) or some other security programs installed by you or your previous employer that could be causing this error on your Win 7 machine. It sounds Malwarebytes Support believes there is some conflict occurring at boot-up that is preventing either Norton or Malwarebytes from running a scan early in the boot-up process. Note that ELAM stands for " Early Launch Anti-Malware", and Malwarebytes' ELAM driver is located at C:\Windows\System32\drivers\ MbamElam.sys.
